ROUTE TO THE MONT-REBEI GORGE FROM PERTUSA HERMITAGE THOUGH THE ST.LLORENÇ CASTLE AND THE PARDINA CANYON.

This route will allow us to get to know the geology and ecosystems of the Montsec, as well as the habitats of otter raptos birds. We will also find traces of prehistoric establishments and of the medieval border between Catalonia and al-Andalus. When we return, we will visit the St. Llorenç castle with its beautiful surroundings and go on paths full of history.

Description

We will leave from the Pertusa hermitage, near to Çorça town. The route runs along the GR1, inside the Mont-rebei nature reserve. It will take us to the spectacular Montrebei gorge, where the path carved into the rock runs through it. We will visit the remains of old civilizations in the Colomera cave, until we reach the iron bridge of Maçana ravine.
We will take the same path back until we reach the Mas de Carlets, where we will change course to visit the St.Llorençs castle and its surroundings. Then we will go down the spectacular Pardina canyon, and finally reach the Pertusa hermitage.

The price includes: mountain guide expert in the area, collective safety equipment. Insurance option for the activity. Does not include: transportation to the start and return of the route, food or drink. Everything not specified in ‘the price includes’.

Suitable clothing for the season of year, hiking boots, walking poles, sunglasses, sunscreen, food, drink and a 20l backpack.
